the purpose of my show will be to entertain people and form them to use it as escapism.
Escapism is used to make the viewer have a place they can go to to be away from their life. this show will also be to make the audience have fun and feel like they are having fun while watching this is the best way to make someone want to watch a show. realateble, community, people can talk to other people, they feel connected to people
people that watch this show might feel connected to the people playing, as there are many people playing the game and being in the show person that is watching might feel a scene of community and like they are with this people and having fun with them. because this is going on youtube the audience can comment and talk to people and find others like them in the comments and community of subscribers.

from asking this i have learnt that there are different things that my audience would watch my videos for, one thing was beause they lke to see the competition and see who they would think would win. another reason was for the comunity and there was quite a high number of people who said they watch for the escapeism and the entertainment

for secondary reserch i looked at different comments on videos like mine to see what people are saying about it and if it will help me to see what purpose thease people have for watching this video or i can see what they are thinking about this channel.

Characteristics
Multi camera, having multiple cameras in one shoot makes it more of an effect shoot as they can get more angles and more footage (coverage) for less time and the footage will be able to link together properly.
Time codes are used to sync the cameras so when you shoot you can link them all together and editing is then a lot easier and it can save a lot of time in post.
Context
Multiple different cameras are set up around a point to get a variety of angles and shots that blend in well together when editing. for example in shows like graham Norton's show every week there are multiple cameras to get different places and and angles around the room and set.
For some secondary research I will be finding different MLG shows, comparing them, finding the codes and conventions of MLG shows and finding different information that could assist me in making my project.
Major league gaming
What is it?
Major league gaming or MLG as it's more commonly known is a whole different type of sports called esports. These sports are made in to big competitions where loads of people play, they dedicate their lives to this and can earn thousands if not more.
This is a really good documentary about e sports and how people dedicate their lives to it and it explains this world to people who may not have any knowledge on the subject.

Target Audience
My Target audience is people who are aged 16-25, men, socio economic group E, student. low income
So i looked in to what people in this age group would enjoy and what would attract them.
To do this i asked people in my target audience what their main hobby's are, what their favorite shows are and what attracts them. I asked these questions as it is helps me to see what my TA does in their spare time, this will help me be able to see their interests so i can see how to target my show to them. Asking about their favorite show helps me to see what shows they like so i can see how i can set up my show so it attracts them like these shows. then finally i asked what attracted them to the show so i could see what attracts them that i could replicate to attract them more and keep them interested.
The first person i asked said his hobbys are playing video games, his favorite show is hermitcraft because he can see people playing the game and how they do it. This is great as this is the esact person that my show is aimed at and would enjoy it, Nate said how he likes to watch shows to see how people play and i think this is a really good thing to focus on in my game and should help to keep people watching and interested.
The next person i asked said their hobby's are crafting or playing old games, their favorite show is a comedy called Brooklyn nine nine, their attracted to this as they like the realism crossed with the comedy. This has taught me that my target audience has a range of things they are interested in and they like creativity and realism. i will use this knowledge when editing to make the show more creatie and fun for the audience.
The last person i asked said their hobby's are playing games, their favorite show is game of thrones and they are attracted to it because of the fact its medevil and like the games they play. this helps me to see that there are many different types of games and people who play games, this person has taught me that people like themes and they enjoy things to be linked together, i like this as i will use it to set up my show and use the themes to make it more organised and enjoyable.
